Commander
Broker CSA/Commission Management System
For brokers
End-to-end CSA and commission management for brokers: unbundling, reconciliation, payments, and a client portal your clients will actually use.
Commander runs a broker's CSA and RPA business end to end: the commission-split rules for each client, the reconciliation of trades against them, the research payments that follow, and a live balance for every client. It supports in-house CSA clients and those who use an external aggregator in the same workflow.
Three portals divide the work. Administrators set up clients, vendors and split rules and hold the permissions. Clients answer their own balance, statement and payment questions in a portal of their own. The customer-service team sees every payment request the moment it arrives, with the audit trail behind each adjustment.
What it does
- Administrator portal
- Onboard CSA clients and vendors, define client-specific commission-split rules, manage payments for in-house and external research, and assign permissions to trading, accounting, operations and compliance separately.
- Client portal
- Clients check balances, download trade files and payment history, run reports, generate monthly statements, and enter and approve payments to brokers and research providers.
- Customer-service portal
- Notifications of client payment requests as they arrive, available balances, every payment instruction per broker and provider, and an approval workflow before anything is processed.
- Reconciliation with an audit trail
- When a trade needs adjusting, the record shows what changed, who changed it and why.
- Self-service reports
- Users design and run their own reports rather than waiting on a custom build.
- Hosted or in-house
- Runs in the cloud or on your own servers, 24/7 either way, under Castine's ISO 27001 certification.
- Not broker-owned
- Castine does not compete for client relationships or commission flow, so the system's incentives are the broker's.
